Hello,
My name is Jasmine Jones. I attend the University of Alabama I major in News Media with a minor in biology . I love practicing medicine and getting to know the healthcare industry, I also appreciate sharing my knowledge of medicine with other pre-med students. I have a strong desire to improve this terrible matter of shortage within Black physicians, and I truly feel that doing so will help the Black people of this nation's health overall.
I am a first generation student and like many others, coming to college was a hassle. I didn't know where to start or who I could look up to for advice. Therefore, I was forced to look for solutions on my own. By God's grace and with the encouragement of family and friends
along the road, I ultimately did establish a personal relationship with a doctor during my junior year. There was plenty of trial and error along the way but having someone who can point me in the right direction made things more simpler when I got confused or overwhelmed. I've committed myself to serving as a resource for other pre-med students like myself. I look forward to helping so many with the tips and tricks I learned along the way.
I have also had the experience to directly mentor students, and I've seen that frequently we just lack the knowledge and advice required to make a competitive medical school applicant. I've always had this feeling of how I can help other students connect with pre-med students across the world!
And then there was Simple Medicine! Where I can assist other pre-med students like me on our journey. I intend to provide the finest possible advise and take on this duty to assist you in pursuing a successful professional path.Thank you for including me on your journey I look forward to reaching every aspect in someone's life. Hoping I can at least help one if not all pre-med students . We will make it !
